Introductory Information about David

"I have been a Redbourn parish councillor since 2010, and am currently the Chairman of the Parish Council. I am also a St Albans District councillor having been elected in 2019.

I sit on all four of the parish council's principal committees. I also started up the Redbourn Neighbourhood Plan, Redbourn Against Greenbelt Erosion (RAGE) and Redbourn Climate Action (RCA) working parties, as well as launching the annual Redbourn Community Champion Award.

I was born and raised in Coventry before attending the School of Art at Nottingham Trent University (as it is known today) specialising in 'Creative Photography'. I then joined the BBC as a trainee film editor becoming a director and producer a few years later, working on programmes such as the Antiques Roadshow and Mastermind. I went on to work for Channel 4 and major independent TV companies. I am now retired.

My personal interests are eclectic. I swim most days and love walking in the Chiltern Hills. I particularly like watching football, being both a Coventry City and Arsenal supporter. I am also interested in history and studied this for my Open University degree in Humanities. I am married with two grown up children."
