It was with great sadness that we heard the news of the passing of Tony Swendell. He worked tireless for residents of Redbourn in his role as Parish Councillor and then District Councillor for many years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Litter Bins
For those of you that have voiced concerns about the overflowing bins in Cumberland Garden, they will be emptied tomorrow. For some reason, St Albans District Council did not empty whilst on their rounds on Monday.

During this current lockdown, Government have advised that play areas can remain open which is great news for kids! However, we would ask that you still remain careful when using the facilities in Redbourn. Cumberland Garden Update
Following extensive investigations, regrettably one of the yew trees will have to be felled and this is going to take place tomorrow. More information to follow.

Cumberland Garden
Cumberland Garden remains closed until further notice due to safety issues. Work is scheduled to fell one of the Yew trees next week. However, there are still some other issues that need to be investigated that prevent us from re-opening the Garden. We will update you as soon as we are able.

Redbourn Neighbourhood Plan is starting again and we need your help!
As you may remember our work on Redbourn Neighbourhood Plan was put on hold for a time because of delays in the new Local Plan that St Albans was preparing. The Local Plan has now been withdrawn which means 2 very important things for Redbourn:
1. Our 3 sites for development cannot go forward because they are in the green belt.

2nd Annual Community Christmas Tree Decorating
Following the success of last year's Community Christmas Tree Decorating event, join us again for Redbourn Parish Council's 2nd Annual Tree Decorating on Sunday 6th December 4-5pm. Bring along a bauble or decoration suitable for outdoor use (no tinsel please) to be hung on the tree.
