M1 Junction 10 - Traffic Signal Replacement planned

M1 Junction 10 - Traffic Signal Replacement planned

National Highways plan to carry out work to replace the traffic signals around junction 10 of the M1. This will include replacement of the poles and cables. Once complete, drivers will benefit from improved traffic flows around the junction.

Zip Wire at East Common Play Area closed

Zip Wire at East Common Play Area closed

We have temporarily closed the zip wire at East Common Play Area because of wear and tear to the chain.

New parts have been ordered and the zip wire will be reopened once it has been repaired and deemed fit for use again.

Please note that there is a weight limit of 69 kg and the zip wire should only be used by one child at a time.

This weeks news item from Issue 13 of Redbourn News featuring the opening of Cumberland Gardens back in 2007. Cllrs Colin O'Donovan and Pat Schofield are there and we'd forgotten there used to be a volunteers rota of people locking and unlocking the gates!

We suspended our weekly round-up as a mark of respect following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Despite council meetings being suspended we've been very busy carrying out specific protocols required during the period of mourning as well as achieving other goals. Here is just a few of they key jobs undertaken during this time.

Redbourn Fireworks Display is booked this year for 5th November and plans are already well underway.

However as always we need your help to make this event as spectacular as ever.

There is a book of condolence available at Redbourn Parish Centre for those who wish to put into words their own personal tributes to the Queen.

The Parish Centre is open from 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday.
