Application for a new cycle route on A5183 Redbourn Road to St Albans rejected by the government because funding is only available for urban routes
SADC is calling for greater local control of emergency funds for active travel after proposals to spend money on a new cycle route on the A5183 road between Redbourn and St Albans linking existing cycles routes (Nicky Line, the Green Ring and Alban Way) were rejected.

There are now 6 defibrillators located across Redbourn. Currently only the one at the Parish Centre is available 24/7 but plans are afoot for another external cabinet so we will update you with more info in due course. Unfortunately foodbank collections are no longer taking place at the Parish Centre as it is now being used by hirers and office staff, with Covid-19 measures in place.
However food donations can be taken directly to dedicated foodbank groups such as https://www.thevineyardchurch.co.uk/feed and https://www.dens.org.uk/get-involved/food-donations/.
Councillor David Mitchell has looked into alternative collection points in Redbourn but, given Covid-19 restrictions, this has not proved possible. If the situation changes we will share the information via the usual channels

Applications for children due to start at secondary and upper school in September 2021 opened on Tuesday 1 September.
The easiest way to apply for a school place is to complete the online application form.
The closing date for applications is Saturday 31 October 2020; it is vital that parents make their applications on time.

Redbourn residents have been very generous over the last few months and the foodbanks are very grateful.
